Last NightUtica Square was beautiful and both of our meals perfect! We had a most wonderful "Anniversary Saturday." Did lots of "annivesary celebration" types of things *clearing throat* and really, really loved celebrating an almost-perfect-actually-even-better-than-perfect first 7 years.
Witches!
We watched Bewitched last night, and I have to say I really enjoyed it! I will actually be buying the DVD, I loved it so much. It's not ground-breaking by any means, but genuinely enjoyable. It was written very smart, and with a cast like Nicole Kidman, Will Ferrell, Michael Caine, Jason Schwartzmann, Shirley MacLaine and Kristin Chenoweth [who's originally from Tulsa, BTW], you can't go wrong. Plus, I just love witches! Witches, witches, witches.
Speaking of witches, I've got several Wicked items on my "witch list." And I want to BE Idina Menzel. [She is so gorgeous, and has an amazing acting career]. If that musical is EVER done in town by one of our theatres, I'm SO there to audition. Useless-but-fun trivia about me: in my TV career, my voice has been utilized three different times for witch cackles in Halloween commercials/promos - including one this year]! Heeee he he he heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
[Bonnie, if you ever get to cast Idina in anything, you'd better be ready to at least cast me in an "extras" gig in the project - hee hee]!
[I'm totally getting the acting bug again...I have a feeling I may be doing a show in 2006].

Today
We're getting ready to go to MIL's today - she and Lissa have a birthday prezzie for G. We're gonna make our favorite Tuscan Pumpkin and White Bean Soup for dinner, complete with MIL's famous homemade bread. She's made eggnog which I cannot have, but I've noticed that Silk has a nog out right now, so while they drink the real deal, I'm gonna try the soy deal. It doesn't make me at all sad having to refrain from the real stuff...I'm just thankful there's an alternative available to me.
Music
Just for shits and giggles, G and I are going to work on our first "cover" song over the holidays. We've started Corvo with five original songs...I think at this point, we're not wimps for wanting to create a fun cover song. I'm keeping the identity of this song under wraps for now, because I love being a tease...and I guarantee, you won't be expecting this one [it's pretty much something you'd never think a gothic metal band would cover].
I hope that you're all having a fantastic weekend! I'm so happy that G and I have OFF tomorrow. Maybe I won't feel the need to maim people at work when we're back on Tuesday.
By the way, it looks and feels like it still might snow...I hope s[n]o[w]!
