He had a "low grade" form of cancer, but the lab verified that our vet removed every bit of the large tumor. The other [smaller] tumor was just fatty skin, so this is very good news.
His stitches are healing over really well - he gets them removed next Wednesday. He'll have to be sedated again, but only mildly, so I'm not worried about that at all.
Overall, he's just really pulling through. We'll have to be vigilent for the rest of his life when it comes to discovering any new skin tags on him, but he won't need chemo or any toxic meds. Pretty much, he's good as new now. Clean slate, all is well!

Dear Boss -
I would love to create maybe a dozen "trivia IDs" to air October 25th - 31st, if inventory permits, which...typically, October is pretty dead (pun intended) in advertising.
I would like to work with a graphics designer to come up with a fun look, not too "Spooktacular," just...something "creepy-cool." There is a LOT of new programming out there this fall that is supernatural/horror-themed, so the time is ripe to have some on-air fun!
New Shows/Returning Favorites:
* Bones
* Night Stalker
* Invasion
* Supernatural
* Charmed
* Surface
* Medium
* Ghost Whisperer
* Lost
* Masters of Horror - This is a Showtime special series, in which all of the top horror filmmakers will be featuring 13 1-hour "new" horror films in October. I noticed that we visited the set, so I'm sure this will get featured on {{Show}} or on a Special in October...
* Project Greenlight 3 ("Feast") - I'm certain that Bravo will re-broadcast this in October, since the film was the horror genre this year.
* "History of Halloween" (History Channel)
* America's Most Haunted Places (Travel Channel)
Classic Shows (Still Airing in Syndication):
* The Munsters
* Addams Family
* The Twilight Zone
* In Search Of
* Scooby Doo
* Buffy the Vampire Slayer
* Bewitched
* Angel
* X Files
Let me know what you think, and I'll get started working with a designer...
If you don't want to do this, it won't hurt my feelings! - Just wanted to do something fun this year with Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas IDs. If you and {{Vice President}} are up for it, I am too.
Thanks!
-NiNi

You may not know it, but NiNi is our resident Gothic. She really gets a charge out of Halloween and will have some fun with it. Her idea is below and it can be fun. Okay with you?

Sheer brillance!
A total "gold star!"
I love Halloween and hate anything spooktacular!
I like simple and creepy.
Realistic - not fake and kid like.
Have fun!

NiNi not only has permission to do her idea, she has earned us a "gold star" to boot!
Three cheers for NiNi!!!!!
-----------------
-We collect "gold stars" and have a drawing for a day off, once we earn 25 "gold stars," so it's a big deal when the V.P. gives us a "gold star" on a project.
SO!
If my network starts looking creepy the week of Halloween, it's because of me and my creepy-cool V.P.!
-If you don't know what channel to watch, email me and I'll tell you. - I don't want to be googled on accident via a search for "my network," and end up getting fired for sharing certain details on my blog.
SOOO excited!!
What a little trooper, we've got! I stayed home with him Thursday and Friday, so that he would have time for the incision wound to heal a bit before sending him back outside for lengthy periods of time. He was on pain meds the first three days, and they really didn't make him very sleepy. He's been pretty spry and wanting to play, even the day after the surgery. AND some of his hearing has returned! So I think it was the tumor that made his hearing loss happen, not necessarily his old age. Although, he still doesn't hear too well, just...better now.
Pretty much by Saturday, he'd gotten used to sleeping in our room. He really didn't know what to do at first - he LOVES his "dogloo" house outside. We only had one real accident in the house, and it was only a pee-mistake, no poops. His poops were really runny the day of the surgery, but returned to normal with each day after. He doesn't try to itch his incision wound, and he doesn't really act like it bothers him. He even lays ON it when he sleeps, so I really don't think he's in pain, even now that he's off the pain meds.
His appetite is normal, and yesterday, he even started prancing around a bit when he got excited about coming back inside. Mentally AND physically, you'd really never know he's had major surgery...until you see his zombie-face! Poor baby.
I'm a little bit nervous today, because it's his first day outside in six days. Our back yard isn't dangerous or anything, but when he had the tumor, he would rub his face all over the grass and the mud. I'm hoping he doesn't feel the need to do that today and tear his stiches open. The wound formed a really nice, thick scab over the weekend, so at least he's got that protecting the incision. We're leaving an hour early today, just because we need to. Starting tomorrow, it'll be "business as uaual." We can't afford to miss much more work. So at this point, a lot of this is up to MacReady's instincts.
To his credit, he DOES have incredible instincts. I believe it's why he's so youthful at almost 16-years-old. He truly looks and acts half his age, and it's not just because we feed him organic food! I believe most of it is because he's more in-tune with his instincts than many domestic dogs.
Anyway, we've ALL been feeling your love, hugs, pettin's and "vibes" on MacReady's recovery. I'll defintely keep you posted!
He's literally been my world over the week, and I have no energy to write about anything else right now. Again, thank you so much for your love and support...it continues to help me through life's bumpy stretches.
Much love to you all!
