The Scream CampaignGuess what? BEYOND approved! Our SVP absolutely FLIPPED over all of the creative. He's sending it to our new network CEO, and sending out a little bulletin to the company, telling everyone to watch for all of our cool stuff airing next week. He gave us THIRTEEN "gold stars." My immediate boss is BEAMING, she's so proud of the work. This is the first huge high-profile campaign I've ever directed, and I hit it out of the field FIRST TRY! I'm really quite reeling...
Now then. Show me the MONEY.
Once the campaign is launched and "public knowledge," I'll be able to post some downloads here, so that you can see what it looks like [for those of you who don't get my network, and wanna see]! If you want to know what network I work for so that you can tune in and see this fun stuff happening "live," next week email me.
80 million households will be watching this. I'm just soooo excited!!
Let the Brag Board Continue
While I'm at it, a note from one of our [Corvo's] beloved fans at MySpace:
HI NiNi!!! Hope all is well! I had to make my Best friend in Ga listen to your music. He just got back from Iraq and has been hearing alot of the new stuff on the radio..When he heard your music he was like "Thank the goddess there is still real music out there!" Love ya , T

workoh. my. freakin. goddess. you will not even believe how fucking amazing my h-ween campaign is turning out! i mean...amazing. i saw some of the first "finished" work yesterday, and it's blowing my mind. it's amazing too, my audio designer and i wrote some of the music from the ground-up for the "trivia," and we did it before even having seen the full animation. so yesterday, for the first time, we put the music with the new animations, and what happens? times out perfectly. - both the "trivia," and our spooky channel id. we were absolutely amazed!
of course, part 1 of the big test happens this afternoon: approvals. it goes to my boss first, then to her boss. i personally think she's gonna love it, but it's always an element of "unknown" that's uncomfortable, especially when we're all (the artists and producers) are already so happy with the creative. you have to tow the line of knowing your stuff may get all meddled with and jacked up, or you may get lucky and your higher-ups will barely have any fixes (if any) at all. it's the nature of being in a "corporate" creative environment, and i'm realistic about it. but i'll never ever get over the "day of approvals" jitters. i don't even get stage fright, i get "approval fright" instead.
what the pluck?
absolutely tired and delirious from an exhausting work day, G and I were driving home last night, and it was already near dark. - you know...that time of day when your eyes will tend to mess with ya a bit? - er...at least, the time of day when mine do!
so we're driving past one of our many neighborhood churches, with the friendly neighborhood church marquee saying-of-the-moment.
what the marquee said:
"Jesus said to be like children, not act like children!"
what my eyes saw:
"Jesus said to be like chicken, not act like chicken!"
i'm sure my chicken-loving filmmaker friend Michael Green will appreciate this story...i need to email it to him. heh!
have an awesome day!
nina - email me. i don't have i.m., but i'm here for you, sweetie!
sneff - give your naughty-bottom puppy an "auntie spankie" for me! she's never to scare us like that again. - naughty poop!
